Sales training for mid-sized businesses that unites your team behind one way of talking with customers

ALIGN Selling gives your whole team one conversation framework. Your salespeople use it, your managers coach it, and every customer gets the same quality of care.

About This
Training Programme

As your sales team grows, so do the ways of running a customer conversation. That is natural. It also makes coaching harder, because your managers have no common framework to coach to.

ALIGN Selling™ gives you that framework. Five steps to plan, lead and close every customer conversation.

Selling is understanding people’s needs, solving problems, building trust and helping them achieve their goals. ALIGN Selling makes that the way your whole team sells.

Do these mid-sized business sales problems sound familiar?

Techniques and scripts do not cut it anymore. Customers are more informed and competition is intense, so your whole team needs one simple way to understand their needs, solve their problems and build trust,

Your best conversations stay with your best people

Each salesperson sells their own way, so what works is hard to coach, compare or repeat. One conversation framework gives everyone the same five steps, and your best conversations become your standard.

Deals stall without a clear next step

Follow-up stays vague and the forecast drifts. Every conversation ends in a close, a commitment with an owner and a date, or a clear decision, so you can see where each deal stands.

Discounts vary from person to person

When the value is unclear, price is all the customer has to compare, and each salesperson responds in their own way. Your team connects the solution to the customer’s goals first, so value outweighs price and your margin holds.

Coaching depends on the manager

Each manager coaches the way they sold, and whatever a manager celebrates, the team repeats. Your managers learn the same five steps as their team, so every review reinforces the same habits.

Sales, service and delivery speak different languages

Customers feel the gaps at every handover. One framework across sales, service and delivery gives everyone the same language, so each customer gets the same quality of care and follow-through from everyone in the company.

An 8 Week Programme

An eight-week programme, from workshop to graduation, starting after your first conversation details are finalised.

A one and a half day foundational workshop, then seven weekly 90-minute application sessions, then graduation. A diagnostic runs before the workshop and a re-measure follows graduation.

Delivered in person, virtually as three half days, or blended across the two. We work across the globe.

In-House for Your Whole Team

An in-house programme built on your deals and customised to your industry, including banking and financial services, healthcare, construction and agriculture. Your whole sales function learns the same method at the same time, creating a consistent approach to selling across the team.

Delivered at your premises anywhere in New Zealand.

Virtual and Multi-Site Delivery

If your team is spread across more than one site, the programme runs virtually or as a blend. Workshops become three half-days online, and the weekly application sessions run remotely, so teams across different locations can train together without anyone travelling.

Virtual delivery is the same programme, not a reduced version of it. As your business grows and your sales structure becomes more complex, explore our Sales Training for Large Organisations to support greater alignment across teams, locations, and departments.

Proven Results for Organisations and Teams

Numbers only tell you what happened if the approach behind them holds up. Every result below comes from teams who moved to a structured, strategic way of selling.

48.2% year-over-year increase in sales

Structured conversations turn more prospects into paying customers, not just more activity.

196% increase in cross-selling opportunities

Teams that understand the whole account spot more ways to add value, and more reasons for the customer to say yes.

23% increase in revenue within 6 months

Results show up fast because the training changes behaviour from the first workshop, not months later.

Customer satisfaction up from the 12th to the 93rd percentile

When selling stops being transactional, customers notice, and it shows in how they rate the experience.

Your customers arrive informed. The conversation is where they decide.

Customers research and shortlist on their own, increasingly with AI, long before they meet your team. When they reach a salesperson, they are checking whether what they have read holds up. That conversation is the part you can train.

AI answers product questions. Customers still turn to a salesperson to diagnose the problem, reduce the risk in a decision and build trust. That conversation is the one we train.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers on time, cost of attention, and what actually changes in your selling. Still unsure? Talk it through with us.

How many people do you need for an in-house programme?

The programme is built for a whole sales function learning together, so it suits teams where consistency across people is the problem you are trying to solve.

Can you run it for a team spread across several sites?

Yes. The one and a half day workshop runs as three half-days virtually, followed by seven weekly 90-minute application sessions, so a team across several sites trains together without travelling. We run a diagnostic first and re-measure after graduation.

How do you prove it worked?

We run diagnostics on your team before training, covering win rate, cycle length and conversation quality, and agree the measures on paper. At the end, we measure against that baseline and report conversion, deal size and pipeline. That is your ROI number.

What if some of the team have sold for twenty years and do not want training?

That is the most common objection, and it is a fair one. Collaborative Consulting described the process as simple enough for sceptics to adopt fast. The programme works on real deals rather than theory, so experienced people are applying it to their own pipeline from the first session.

Do our sales managers need to be involved?

Yes, and it is what makes the change stick. Managers coach the same model in one-to-ones and pipeline reviews, so reinforcement continues after the programme ends rather than depending on us.
